The Australian Blacksmiths Association (Victoria) Inc. is a group of like-minded people devoted to preserving and developing the ancient craft of the blacksmith. It is a registered non-profit association that finances its activities through annual subscriptions and training fees.

Everyone is welcome to become a member, regardless of his or her level of skill or knowledge. Some members are professional blacksmiths, while others are men and women from all walks of life whose abilities range from beginner to skilled artisans.

Members represent the Association at agricultural shows, exhibitions and rallies throughout Victoria and beyond.

We run several training programs for members (Introduction to, Basic Blacksmithing, Wrought Iron Techniques, etc) when there is enough interest, and produce a newsletter, The Drift.

Our regular meetings are every second Sunday from 10:00am to 4:30pm. All members are welcome to come on these days and work on their own projects, read books from our Library or observe and ask questions of other members.

The venue is a large corrugated-iron building known as "The Barn", which you will find at Coopers Settlement, a part of Bundoora Park, Plenty Road, Bundoora.

If you would like to join us, please complete and sign the application form (attached link above) and send to the Secretary, ABA (Vic).
